~ Military Tribute Banner Program ~

VFW Post 7916 and the Town of Occoquan will honor local U.S. military veterans with patriotic banners as a testament to the community’s history of service. These beautiful banners will be displayed in the historic district of Occoquan from Memorial Day through Veterans Day.

Program Highlights:

DISPLAY PERIOD & PRICING

$250.00 per sponsorship
  • Up to 6-month sponsorship period
  • Fee Includes design, fabrication, shipping, fees, installation, and maintenance
  • Displayed on 25 utility poles in the historic district
    Space is limited. Once filled, future sponsors will be placed on a wait list pending location opening or until the following year.

~ How to Sponsor Your Banner ~

First: Submit your contact info and banner info/photo by selecting 'INFORMATION/PHOTO' under the 'SUBMIT' tab. Once received, a proof of your banner will be emailed to you for your review within 1 business day. Upon approval, your banner will be readied for production pending sponsorship payment.

Next: All sponsors will be notified by email to complete payment by checkout with credit card/paypal. Payment is required to secure a display location. Payment can be made (in early April) by clicking the link below and following the sponsorship check-out proceedure.
 
Space is limited so only 25 banners can be displayed.
A waiting list will be established in case of cancellation.

Submitting Photos and Information:

  • PHOTOS: When uploading images for production, the higher the resolution, the better the end product will be. Images that are taken from social media or the internet are typically low resolution and are not meant to be used for high-quality large format printing. Depending on the size, we recommend scanning photos in at 600 dpi for a 3"x5" photo. For smaller photos, increase the resolution. 300 dpi will do for larger photos.
  • INFORMATION: Information such as years of service, branch of service, wars fought in, and any special awards (ie: purple heart, bronze star) should be submitted. We have to limit the amount of awards listed due to space limitations on the banners. We can also add the date of birth and date of death if applicable.  Go to menu item ' Submit / Banner Info ' to upload your photo and information.
